‘Spaander Volendam’

Found between the picturesque IJsellmeer and the famous Volendammer dike is the world famous Hotel Spaander (ann. 1881).

Tourists from across the world can testify. Volendam, the lovely fisher town on the IJsellmeer, with it’s traditional clothing, soccer, music and fish. Small houses build like a maze behind the harbor.

Over a thousand 19th century painting hanging in this classical building tell story of time gone by. The mind always works better in an inspiring surrounding. The characteristic halls, friendly service in costume and lovely foods and drinks guarantee an unforgettable gathering or party.

The Hotel has 79 luxurious rooms. All rooms are fitted with shower or bath, toilet, radio, TV, telephone, pants press and offer a wonderful view of either the IJsellmeer of the world famous Volendammer Dike.

This unique location is situated directly at the harbor and the ships can almost lay the gangplank to the front door for an ideal combination of sailing and meeting. Perhaps you would like to organize an overnight seminar? Symposia, congresses, presentation, workshops, everything is possible for groups from 6 to 300 persons.

10:00     Meeting in one of the meeting rooms of the Spaander:

13:00     Board one or more traditional sailing ships in the inner harbor of Volendam.

13:15     Marco Polo lunch onboard
14:00     A nice trip on the waters of the IJsellmeer

18:00     Return to the Volendam harbor

18:15     Welcome back tot the Spaander with a little appetizer

19:00     Three course Spaander dinner, for example:

- Lukewarm salad with tuna steak and garlic crème
- Fried up fishy with clams and shrimps, or pork medallions with a spicy Stroganoff sauce
- Blood Orange bavarois with whip cream
